After two days things are beginning to make sense and I am becoming very excited at the possibilities. Already I have a list of things that I could do in my classroom. While I do know that this will be a slow implementation process, I have one or two ideas that I think will be possible and realistic for this school year ( starting a small blog group and creating motivational poster for our school). I hope that when I get back to my district I can share this information with others and get them as excited at the possibilities as I am!

Blogging in school

As I begin to sift through all I have heard and the possibilities I keep coming back to the ideas of linking my advanced students together through blogging. In science I have the whole spectrum of abilities. In past years I have combined my advanced students on occasion to work together, but it becomes difficult if in one class I have several students who excel and only that excels in another class. I am considering using a blog for these students to connect to one another. Possibly coming up with a project to work on that would go more in depth in the science content that we are covering. Having the blog would let them connect and work together, hopefully pushing each other academically.

Learning 2.0

Had someone asked before today I would have considered myself quite technology savvy.
