Learning 2.0
Had someone asked before today I would have considered myself quite technology savvy. After learning about Web 2.0 and reading Learning 2.0 I feel that I am way behind the times. Today I realized how much I have been missing. I find myself lost. To learn all this and think about the educational possiblities are overwhelming but exciting!

I like to call what you are feeling cognitive dissonance. It is what are students feel when learning new things. It also helps to create an urgency inside all of us that we have got to run..not walk.. to make sure we stay relevant in our student's lives.

I agree with Sheryl. That is a good feeling to have as an educator. It causes us to seek the answers so that we become more comfortable with the technology. Isn't it exciting to be in a profession that will continue to be fresh and new all the time? The days of teaching the same lesson in the same way year after year have passed. We are going to be pushed to try new things and do things in new ways. I think we will also find it necessary to continually evaluate the skills and attitudes that we teach. The curriculum and content of our classes will need to evolve along with this new technology.
